Police investigating shooting in Madison, bystander almost hit

MADISON (WKOW) - Madison police say people in two vehicles driving down Milwaukee Street were seen shooting at each other Friday evening.

According to anincident report, multiple callers reported that the occupants of two vehicles traveling west on Milwaukee Street were shooting at one another.

Officers arrived to three different scenes along Milwaukee Street to East Washington Avenue where multiple bullet casing were found.

Police say an open and occupied business near the intersection of Milwaukee Street and East Washington Avenue was struck with a bullet. 

A vehicle, not involved in the incident, was also hit by a bullet. The bullet entered the front windshield, and missed hitting the driver by only two inches.

There have been no reported injuries.
