$52,000 fraud case ends with arrest of Whitewater woman

Rock County deputies arrested a woman for allegedly committing fraud for over two years.

Authorities arrested Susan Kay Salyers, 58, Whitewater, on 96 counts related to stealing $52,000, according to the Rock County Sheriff's Office.

Salyers allegedly defrauded "an elderly Rock County resident," deputies said.

The many temporary charges include forgery, theft greater than $10,000 and theft from a person at risk, among others.

Salyers allegedly committed the fraud from October 2017 through December 2019.

She is being held in the Rock County Jail.
