Madison man arrested for punching and shooting at woman, police say

A Madison man is behind bars after he allegedly punched a woman inside a car and then shot at her as she drove away from him, according to police.

Authorities said a 35-year-old Madison woman reported she was punched “to the point of unconsciousness” inside a car Saturday night around 9:30 near the 2200 block of Pike Drive. She told police 37-year-old Terrance S. Pearson later fired shots in her direction as she drove away from him.

Officers found a shell casing at the scene. Pearson was found nearby and a loaded handgun was taken, according to police.

Pearson was arrested for second-degree reckless endangerment, substantial battery, disorderly conduct while armed, and felony bail jumping.
