A 2-year-old was found in a bathtub Sunday with the child's dead mother, who police suspect had overdosed.
Officers were called about 10:30 p.m. Sunday to Sachtjen Street about a death investigation, according to a post on Madison Police Chief Mike Koval's blog.
A 25-year-old woman was found dead in a bathtub by her grandparents.
Also in the bathtub at the time was the woman's 2-year-old child, who was cold but appeared to be O.K.
The dead woman was a known heroin user, according to the blog.
The water was cold in the tub, suggesting she had been there for awhile.
