This one ain't for the kiddies. All the reviews say the series has returned to its darkly violent, sardonically humorous roots. 1995's Sylvester Stalone vehicle this ain't. Karl Urban stars as Judge Dredd, a hyper-violent peacekeeper. Can't wait to catch this bad boy.

Another violent movie but one that has my interest piqued. The plot, acting and tone of this flick all look fantastic.

Jennifer Lawrence has been picking dynamite projects to advance her career: Winter's Bone, X-Men First Class, The Hunger Games. At the same time we haven't had a good horror movie in forever, one that balanced story, character and scares. Here's hoping Lawrence's project-selecting magic touch propels this to cinematic glory. But the fact that it hasn't previewed for anyone gives me doubts.
