27 buses in Madison vandalized with anti war graffiti

MADISON (WKOW) -- Twenty-seven yellow buses were vandalized last week with black spray paint referencing the Israel-Hamas war, according to the Madison Police Department.

Spokesperson Stephanie Fryer said an employee arrived Thursday to the First Student bus department located along the 200 block of West Beltline Highway.

Someone used black spray paint on the buses sometime between Wednesday night and Thursday morning, according to police.

The graffiti made statements such as "Free Palestine" and "Stop the War."

Employees estimate several thousand dollars of damage was done. No arrests have been made.
