The golf outing will take place on Monday, September 30th at Cherokee Country Club. There will be a 1pm shotgun start.
The entry fee is only $600 per foursome (or $150 for individuals). We recommend pre-registering as soon as possible! Your registration includes lunch, a chance to win prizes and a chat with 1310 WIBA's Mitch Henck.
A special message from Mitch Henck:
In America, a stroke occurs every 40 seconds and someone dies of a stroke every four minutes. On October 23rd, 2012, I had a stroke. I never thought it could happen to me. I dialed a friend and told him I wasn't feeling right. He dialed 911 and soon after paramedics arrived, broke down the door and found me lifeless on the floor. I could barely speak and my entire left side was dead. I could not move my fingers or walk. The following three and a half weeks, while in the hospital, I was jealous of people who could do things as simple as swallowing water because I could not! Almost a year later I'm back on the air but my life has changed forever and sadly so has my golf game. My handicap went from 9 to 59. I guess I need more strokes on the scorecard and not in my pajamas.
Please join me Monday, September 30th alongside the American Stroke Association for The First Annual Birdies Fore Life Golf Outing at Cherokee Country Club. Shotgun start is at 1:00pm followed by food and prizes. Foursomes are now being put together fill out your Birdies For Life registration form (see the link above) and e-mail it directly to me (email@example.com) or my boss…Tim Scott (the friend who dialed 911 for me and helped save my life) (firstname.lastname@example.org).
