CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, IL (WKOW) -- Illinois officials are holding a Janesville man who they believe used a slingshot and metal ball bearings to shoot at cars along I-74.
A news release from Illinois State Police said the agency arrested Kevin L. Casey, 53, Friday night.

Police say the window-shattering incidents happened in Champaign and Vermilion Counties. Officials also think other cars were hit in areas to the east of Illinois, along the I-74 corridor and on connecting interstates.
The Associated Press reports police caught Casey using a slingshot to shatter a minivan's driver's side sliding glass door window.
He faces charges of aggravated battery to a child, aggravated battery on a public way and criminal damage to property. The battery to a child charge stems from an incident on I-74 on May 8th, which left glass embedded in a three-year-old boy's face.
The AP also quotes Champaign County state's attorney Julia Rietz as saying Casey's being held on a $2 million bond.
Casey is being held on a $2 million bond, and is expected to be in court later Monday to face formal charges. Prosecutors say they will charge Casey with four incidents, however police are receiving reports of additional incidents.
