Today is Martin Luther King day. Many government offices and schools are closed today -- including state and local office. The post office is closed, and there's no mail delivery today. In Madison, if you normally get your trash and recycling picked up today, that will happen tomorrow, instead. Also, most Metro buses will be on Saturday schedules today.
In Madison, there are a couple of special events. The annual state of Wisconsin tribute starts at noon at the Capitol Rotunda. The Madison-Dane County observance is at five p.m. Monday at the Overture Center.
