NWL: Kenosha tops Lakeshore in Tuesday action

Kenosha needed a run in the bottom of the 8th to top Lakeshore, while Madison & Eau Claire both suffered one-run losses.

Kenosha 4, Lakeshore 3

The Kenosha Kingfish score once in the bottom of the eighth which led to their 4-3 victory over the Lakeshore Chinooks. Ben Troike (Illinois) hit the eventual game winner for the Kingfish on an RBI single. Billy McKay (Florida) shut the door on the Chinooks in the ninth to pick up his second save of the season.

Kalamazoo 3, Madison 2

The Kalamazoo Growlers scored three late to come from behind and defeat the Madison Mallards 3-2. The Mallards opened the second inning with a solo home run from Jeffery Mitchell Jr. (California). Madison added one more in the fourth when Doran Turchin (Illinois) scored on fielder’s choice.

Waterloo 4, Eau Claire 3

The Waterloo Bucks walked-off in the ninth inning to improve their record to 6-2 in a 4-3 victory over the Eau Claire Express.
