A Janesville teacher accused of being drunk on a field trip has received over $18-thousand as part of a resignation agreement.
Maria Caya, a fourth grade teacher at Washington Elementary resigned last month. In June she passed out while chaperoning an end of the year celebration at a bowling alley. Police didn't charge Caya though her blood alcohol level was .27.
According to the agreement, Caya received the money for any unused sick leave.
