Darlington - An Argyle man who helped set a house on fire, killing his three nephews, is attempting to change his guilty pleas. Jeremy Wand has requested to withdraw his guilty pleas to three counts of first-degree intentional homicide and three other felonies, in hopes of going to trial. Those pleas were originally entered in Green County Court in June. Circuit Judge Thomas Vale will decide Thursday whether to go to trial, or keep the pleas and sentence Wand to life in prison.
The children's father, Armin Wand III, is already serving three life terms with no parole.
The September 2012 fire killed Armin's three children: Allen, 7; Jeffery, 5; and Joseph, 3. His then-pregnant wife, Sharon, was badly burned in the blaze and lost the fetus. Their 2-year old daughter, Jessica, also survived.
